Russell Gray and Robert Cone formed Graco Metal Products in 1942. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. So, Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products. But what would that product line be?

He go his answer in the form of David Saint, an engineer, tinkere and stained glass artisan who was working for Graco. Saint, was inspired when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and crank baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. 18 months of hard work later, the world's firs wind-up infant swing was born and Graco was in the baby-products business.

Today, Graco has a product line that includes such baby items as the imonitor™ Digital Baby Monitor, the Pack N' Play® Portable Playards, a number of popular baby car seats, strollers, travel systems, swings and soothers, changing tables and cribs and many other top of the line products in the baby care store.
